It is not vital that you have any lawn experience prior to running a TruGreen business as there is extensive training and technical support available whenever required.

Self motivational and good communication skills as well as a desire to develop and build your business are very important but the most vital attributes are a willingness to serve your customers, treat your employees with respect and a commitment to follow the TruGreen  system.  These are the keys to your success.

 

 
Yes. TruGreen is able to offer financing assistance through most major banks, based on your credit history and assets. You will need to find 30% of the total cost the 70% may be financed.
 
 
 
Each franchisee has an area which is determined by the population and demographics (age, income, type of dwelling, etc). The area will be based near your home, allowing you to start trading without premises.
 
 
 
The business is typically a 5 day week, Monday to Friday operation.  It may, however, be necessary to work in the evenings or weekends to fulfil customer requirements.  
 
 
Marketing, Marketing, Marketing! We will help you to develop a succesful marketing plan for your business based upon leaflet distribution.  We will train and make available the appropriate  marketing materials. TruGreen franchisees also benefit from membership of the nationally known ServiceMaster family through referrals, and the potential of cross-marketing campaigns.
 
 
 
10% of gross sales. This percentage of your turnover is paid to us on a monthly basis ensuring that the franchisee and franchisor are inextricably tied in, ie your growth is our growth.
 
 
 
Franchisees make a payment into a central promotion fund each month which is used to promote the TruGreen brand nationally. This funding goes towards activities in PR, advertising, exhibition attendance, direct mail activities and much more.
